The centennial construction was concluded in the beginning of the 20th century to house the Judiciary. It was inaugurated on April 21st 1900. It is one of the main examples of classical architecture from the golden period of the rubber economy, and its structural lines follow the Renaissance style. The building was declared a Historical and Artistic Heritage of Amazonas in 1980. The names given to the rooms that compose it pay homage to personalities connected to its implementation and to the Judiciary.
The Palace is located in a privileged spot on one of Manaus' main avenues. It has cast iron gates imported from Glasgow, Scotland, and sidewalks and stairs in Lios stone, from Lisbon. The hall's ceiling is covered in stucco with marble imitation walls. The imposing main staircase has a metal railing, with golden arches with six herms or caryatids, imported from Lisbon. The hall floor is of hydraulic tiles. The second floor is decorated with balustrades, spectacles, ceilings covered with stucco, columns, cartouches and marbled walls, and wooden floors (acapu and pau-amarelo).
The furniture is centennial. The highlight is the carillon clock, from the 1920's, with Bahian jacaranda structure and Swiss machinery. There is also a table made of mahogany, a set of tables, chairs, and a mirror that came from the last restoration, in 2002, besides modern furniture, from the Judiciary's operation until 2006, and an original chandelier made of bronze and crystal.
