As of this Monday, May 28, the registration for the Orchestras and Bands project is open. project of Orchestras and Bands for Children and and Youth Orchestras and Bands of Amazonas (Probijam)of the Amazonas State University (UEA). The project offers 100 vacancies for children interested in learning to play musical instruments, distributedídas in 50 vacancies for band instruments and 50 for violin orchestra.
There are vacancies for trumpet, flugelhorn, horn, trombone, bombardon, tuba, percussion and violin. To participate, you need to be at least 9 years old for the band and 7 years old for the violin orchestra; at least 12 years old for all groups; study in a public school, with an active enrollment; not be part of any musical group; and, for the violin positions, you need to have your own instrument.
The band classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and the orchestra classes will be held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The course hours will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. for both projects.
