Duathlon event will move Studio 5, this Sunday (15th)

The second edition of the "Cia Duathlon" will have 20km of cycling and 3km of running.

This Sunday (9/15), the parking lot of Studio 5 parking lot will be the setting for the second edition of the "Cia Duathlonrace that will bring together 20km of cycling and 3km of running. The competition, organized by Athletica Manaus Companyis now open for registration.

Registration costs R$ 50 and can be performed - by students and non-students of the academy - at the front desk of Cia Athletica in Studio 5 units (Av. Rodrigo Otávio, 3555, Japiim) and Manauara Shopping (Av. Mario Ypiranga, 1300, Adrianópolis). On the race day, the participants will receive an official event kit, with a shirt and headphones. Everyone will also receive a medal.

The "Cia Duathlon" will start at 7:30am. The athletes will do a 12.5 mile (20km) bike course, in the parking lot of the Studio 5 unit, and in the running stage, the participants will do a 3km course, in the shopping center's parking lot. There will be three laps of 1km each. The race has a 90-minute limit.

According to Fred Rolim, gym manager at Cia Athletica, the event aims to stimulate the practice of different modalities. "Our goal is for the participants to have differentiated physical experiences, to test their limits," he comments.

Classes

The Duathlon is one of the many modalities offered by Cia Athletica Manaus. The classes are 1 hour long (30 minutes of biking and 30 minutes of running), working, among other things, endurance, power, and strength.
