Ramon Marola performs in Vila Vagalume with the project Acordes, Song and Poetry

Marola became known for his performance in the carnival band Pororoca Atômica, in which he animated blocks and parties for four years.

This Thursday (October 17), the singer, songwriter and performer Ramon Marolawill perform at Vila Vagalume 80 (avenue Fernão Dias Paes, 80, D. Pedro I), with the project "Chords, Song and Poetry". The event starts at 20h and the entrance fee is R$ 5,00.

Ramon Marola is the artistic name of Ramon Lima do Nascimento, artist essentially influenced by the great Brazilian popular singers of the 20th century, for his interpretation, vocal extension and lyrical composition form.

The singer and composer presents a project of independent music, producing a repertoire of varied styles, strolling through the melancholy of the Blues, the nostalgia of Samba, the regionality of Carimbó, and the romantic mockery of the many faces of what is conventionally called Brega, transforming them into poetry and literary texts that portray the pains and joys of everyday life in today's society and the existential perspective of the individuality of each subject, exploring current issues such as depression, anxiety, and liquid relationships.

"Acordes, Canção e Poesia is the genesis of the project Marola e Os Filhos da Rua, a manauara plurigênero band that forms its line of dialog from the reflection about the intimate life and the collective praxis of the pseudo-modern society", he explains.

Marola became known for his performance in the carnival band Pororoca Atômica, in which he animated blocks and parties for four years. In 2019, he decided to leave the band to explore new horizons. "I felt the need to present a Brazilian repertoire, in addition to my compositions and diverse partnerships with people close to my acquaintance, who exchange personal experiences related to political, racial, gender and sexuality perspectives, in a poetic and intimate way. Therefore, I wanted to express myself beyond a carnival repertoire and I received a lot of encouragement from these musician friends and producers and decided to venture into a solo and authorial project."

A resident artist at Vila Vagalume for a little over eight months, Marola has been exercising his artistic vein in all artistic expressions such as painting, music, set design, and fashion. We are practically possessed by a desire to transform everything in this space so that people who have access feel stimulated to awaken the artist within each one."

In his presentation at Vila Vagalume with the project "Acordes, Canção e Poesia", Marola will be accompanied by Mauro Lima (guitar) and Renan Haijin (percussion).
