In order to better meet the needs of the Vocal Group of the Artistic Bodies (GVCA), the State Secretariat of Culture (In this way, we will be able to make the most of the opportunities we have available to us. The selection will take place on Cultural Center Palácio da Justiçalocated on Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro, 901, in the Center, from 14h às 17h. The registration is free.
There are 60 available places, 15 for each suit: soprano, contralto, tenor and bass. Registration will be held on the day and place of the audition, on a first come, first served basis. To participate, the candidate must be at least 18 years old and bring an ID card.
The evaluation will consist of an interview to pre-select the candidates, vocal test/vocalisis, and the performance of a piece of free choice, either erudite or popular (the candidate should bring three copies for the jury members). They will be evaluated: Afinação; Presença and posture; Desenvoltura e interpretação.
The board will be formed by Otávio Simões, chief conductor of the Amazonas Choir; Jhonny Meurer Carvalho, chief conductor of the Vocal Group of the Artistic Bodies; and Juremir Vieira, vocal coach of the Amazonas Choir and the GVCA.
The result will be released on próxima Monday (30/9), through the official social networks of the SEC. Those selected should attend GVCA rehearsals that take place Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, from 14h às 17h, at the Palácio da Justiça Cultural Center.
The new members are already participating in rehearsals for the SEC's Christmas program.
About GVCA
The Grupo Vocal dos Corpos Artistas (former Grupo Vocal do Coral do Amazonas) was created with the proposal to collaborate for the musical formation of new singers through the teaching of vocal technique, music theory and choral singing practice. Currently, it has 40 choir members and participates in official SEC events, such as the Festival Amazonas de Ópera, Christmas concert, série "Encontro das Águas", as well as in shows of the other State Artistic Bodies.
