Twenty two candidates vie for the semifinal of the Miss Amazonas Plus Size 2019. Each of them represents tourist spots of the city or companies in the state. Also present will be the winner of last year's contest, Alessandra Caldas. The event, which is coordinated by Fernando Salignacof the agency By Salignac, will take place on the second floor (L2) of Shopping Ponta Negrathis Sunday (02/6), at 16h.
The first Miss Amazonas Plus Size occurred in 2014 with less than 15 candidates, and the success was so great that before finishing the event, there were already several candidates registered for the next edition. Each year, the event has been conquering the public even more. "This year we had 28 candidates, three from the interior of the state. This shows that Plus Size fashion is growing more and more", comments Salignac, the coordinator.
According to him, during the semi-final, two candidates will be elected as the highlight of the contest: Miss Elegance and Miss Fashion, however, the result will be kept in a sealed envelope and disclosed only in the final that will take place on July 20, at Les Artistes Café Teatro, located in downtown Manaus.
The winner will compete in the Miss Plus Size Eco Brazil, held in the capital of Amazonas, in August. Each candidate will represent a state and they will be evaluated, besides beauty, for their engagement in environmental causes.
