The registrations are free, are already open and can be made in the library of the Sesc Activities Center, located at Rua Henrique Martins, 427, Center, in the hours of 9h às 17:30. Below, more information about the content of the workshop program.
First meeting (6/17)
Telling his personal experience, the comic artist Caeto proposes a conversation with tips on how to write a script. He presents as an example the process of the script for the comic book "Elephant Memories", and the adaptationção into comics of the book "The Death of Ivan Ilitch", by Liev Tolstói. It will be proposed to the students to start writing a script with the instructor's assistance.
Second meeting (6/18)
We will discuss the importanceá of regulating a working space in comics, the familiarizationção with technical terms of diagramção página and the art of breaking the demarcationção of a página with conscientiousness, without losing the standardão.
Caeto will present techniques of hatching and black filling, using the work of Joe Sacco as an example. The techniques worked on in class will be used so that the students begin to draw the comic strip from the script prepared in the previous class.
Third meeting (6/19)
Exercise of picture rotation.
Fourth meeting (20/6)
Itá proposed the rescue of a memory and the elaborationção of a script, structuring the quantity of scenes and making a plan to draw the story.
Fifth meeting (6/21)
Brief conversation about Comics without text, presenting the work of Gustavo Duarte and the Coleção de HQ 1000.
The workshop will be held at the Sesc Activities Center, from June 17 to 21, from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
Caeto
The comic book artist has worked in the publishing market since 2001. He published two autobiographical novels by Quadrinhos na Cia. and made the adaptationção for HQ of the book "The Death of Ivan Ilitch", by Liev Tolstói, by Editora Peirópolis. He has ten books published as an illustrator.
