July 26th is the date chosen to honor very special people: it is Grandparents' Day. And to celebrate the date in great style, the Millennium Shoppingin partnership with TV Cultura, hosts this Friday (26), starting at 6:30 pm, the recording of the traditional musical program Carousel of Longing. The event will take place in front of the food court of the shopping center and will feature local artists who will sing great hits of Brazilian Popular Music: Cezar Pinheiro, James Rios, Jecimar Souza, Izabel Veja, Fátima Silva, and Primas e Bordões.
During the week, Millennium Shopping's social networks will be receiving videos and messages from the followers for their grandparents. And, on the day of the event, the grandchildren will take their grandparents to be surprised with the tribute, which will be shown on a big screen in the food court.
In addition, during the night there will also be several actions to honor the public, among them, the most charming couple, the waltz-footed couple, the most produced grandma, and the most stylish grandpa.
Grandparents' Day
This commemorative date has a religious origin, because July 26 is the Day of St. Anne and St. Joachim. In the Catholic tradition they are the parents of Mary and, therefore, the grandparents of Jesus. That is why this is the date chosen to celebrate all the grandfathers and grandmothers.
