Shopping Ponta Negra receives the exhibition Lyrical Essaysby photographer Bárbara Umbra. The event is part of the XVII Amazon Opera Festival and promises to enchant visitors to the shopping center. In addition, the H Studio Gallery, located on the second floor (L2), receives the exhibition Manaus 19that brings 30 canvases with an Amazonian theme from several local, national and international artists.
Fascinated by the world of music, Amazon photographer and videomaker Bárbara Umbra has made an essay inspired by opera characters played by lyric singer and soprano soloist Dhijana Nobre. And the result of the work has been on display since April 26, in a space next to the Zara store in the Shopping Ponta Negra mall.
"The exhibition is composed of thirteen conceptual images, which involved, besides musical and scenic research, a meticulous artistic post-production," says the photographer. Among the photographed characters is Amina from "La sonnambula", an opera in two acts by Vicenzo Bellini, presented as a concert at Teatro Amazonas in 2016.
The exhibition continues until May 19. "The universe of lyrical music is a complete art that provides us with emotions, transporting us to a universe of beauty, magic, and drama," states Barbara.

Among the artists who are leading the Manaus 19 is Homero Amazonas. According to him, the exhibition was inspired by the Week of Modern Art, also called the Week of 22, which took place in São Paulo between February 11 and 18, 1922.
"The goal is that Manaus 19 becomes the starting point of an artistic-cultural manifestation in the state, with space for known artists and also for those who are starting in the visual arts", says the artist, who has a career of over 30 years, and dreams of one day holding the first biennial of art in Amazonas.
The exhibition runs until April 30th and, besides Homero Amazonas, the artists Nailson Novato, Noleto, Elizabeth Grubinger, Erivelton, Eliane Mezari, Marcos Castro, Paulo Lino, Jesus Ernesto Salazar, Julio César, and others also participate.
