Best known as the the "master of choro", the maestrothe maestro Jeremias DutraMaster Jerê, a revered musician who has collected more than a thousand compositions, will be honored by the choro group Snake Lousethis Friday (03/29), at 20h, at the Amazonas Theater Amazonas Theater. The 2nd Brazilian Chorinho Sarau has free admission and free classification.
"The project arose from the need to promote the musical artistic language as a cultural alternative to the community of Manaus. The sarau consists of artistic expression involving music, literature, dance, theater, and poetry, among many other forms of art," explains the event coordinator, Wanderlan Paulino.
Besides the Piolho de Cobra group, formed by Wanderlan Paulino (cavaquinho and guitar), Armando de Paula (vocal), Celestina Maria (vocal), Fausto Sampaio (pandeiro), Elson Arcos (soloist and producer), Adailson Cunha (instrumental), and Beto (Sete Cordas), the show will have the participation of guests Rosejane Farias (vocal) and Raimundinho (mandolin).
Master Jerê will also participate in the evening, showing his talent on the piano. Choro is always in evidence. I am grateful for giving us the opportunity to show this representation of Brazilian music. I am flattered to be honored by a group so interested in our music", said the maestro.
According to Wanderlan, the event will also mark the foundation and presentation of the statute of the Choro Club of Amazonas Jeremias Dutra.
