To celebrate one year of existence, the Companhia de Pesquisa em Artes da Cena Erva Daninha will present "Foreigner"on Thursday (08/1), at 7pm, at the Installation Theater (street Frei José dos Inocentes, s/nº, Center). The show is rated 14 and admission is free.
It is a narrative that shows, through performativities, a surreal universe where there is a series of metaphors about veiled desires, silent longings and internalized repressions.
During the creation process, the actors immersed themselves in the narrative of the foreigner, or the strange, taking inspiration from classical works, such as "A Streetcar Named Desire", by Tennessee Williams; from texts by Brazilian writers, such as "A Cidade Ilhada", by Amazonian Milton Hatoum; and from the contact with real stories of people who live on the streets of Manaus.
The production is the result of research conducted by the artists of Coletivo Erva Daninha, and is directed by Paulo Tiago. "In this presentation we want to convey the idea that it is possible, yes, to continue to do theater and we have the ability to bring people together and establish a collective to work, share, invade each other in this relationship, in the sense of knowing each other, get out of the box and try new ways, live life from other perspectives, "says the director.
The project brings together students from areas such as Design, Psychology, Visual Arts, Architecture, Theater and Dance, who come together independently to strengthen the arts scene in Manaus. "A fund will be made available so that we can maintain the work and continue producing cultural events like this show. The public can contribute in their own way. This is an action of culture and citizenship, in which those who contribute are gaining art," concludes Paulo.
"Estrangeiro" is directed by Paulo Tiago, who also acts in the show alongside Thayná Liartes, Julia Morinaga, André Henrines, Lucas Macedo, Mateus Cardozo, César Britchello, Clara Monteiro, and Maiky Neves.
