At the opening of the 12th edition of the Tourism Workshopevent promoted by the Manaus City Hall, which takes place on May 31st, at the Les Artistes Café Teatrothe panel "Council for Economic, Sustainable and Strategic Development of Manaus (Codese)" will address strategies and economic planning for Manaus. The debate will take place at 2pm, by the panel facilitator, civil engineer Frank Souza, who is a deliberative councilor of Codese.
"On the day of the event, I will talk about Codese's step-by-step, strategies, as well as the proposal of the works in this 20-year planning for the capital. Manaus is among the best cities to invest in, and the idea is to discuss about new economic segments for the region, like the tourism poles, so that they bring a high income to the GDP", explained Frank.
Frank Souza has a specialization in Capital Markets from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and has held positions such as president of the Social Service of the Construction Industry (Seconci-Manaus), vice president of the Union of the Construction Industry of Amazonas (Sinduscon-AM) and social arm of Sinduscon-AM.
Currently, he is the president of Sinduscon-AM, vice-president of the Brazilian Chamber of the Construction Industry (CBIC), director of the Federation of Industries of the State of Amazonas (Fieam), and deliberative board member of Codese. The civil engineer highlights that Codese has a long-term planning for Manaus in the next 20 years, aiming to generate an increase in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from other segments.
The event's programming, which in this edition brings the theme "New Evidences of the Tourism Scenario for the City of Manaus".The program will also feature the lectures "Investe Turismo Amazonas", with business analyst Carlos Fábio de Souza; "Laboratory of the Tourism Course at the Amazonas State University (Labotur/UEA)", with touristologist and professor Márcia Raquel Cavalcante Guimarães; and "Projeto Prourbis II", with architect and urban planner from the Municipal Institute of Urban Planning (Implurb), Leonardo Normando.
