Free workshop on "The Art of Photography" happens this Wednesday

The event aims to provoke debate about the world of photography, from the creative process to the final result of the work.

The photographer from Goias Décio Marmo de Assis gives this Wednesday (30th), at 7pm, the workshop "The Art of Photographyin the lounge located on the third floor (L3) of Shopping Ponta Negra. The event, which is free and open to the public, aims to provoke debate about the world of photography, from the creative process to the final result of the work.

"I want to make the public take their knowledge about the art of photography to another level," said the photographer, who is currently with the exhibition "Amazonas, Amazônia Cores e Formaswhich brings together about 40 images, at L3 of Shopping Ponta Negra.

The exhibition continues until the 30th, during the shopping center's opening hours. The exhibited work is part of the e-book "Amazônia Cores e Formas", which is being prepared. And, for the author of the work, "this is the most poetic, plastic part, produced to demonstrate the beauty of this capital of unique characteristics. An island of development surrounded by forest and water on all sides," he defines.

Photographer and publicist, Assis has a degree in architecture from the University of Brasília (UNB) and in Art Direction from the San Francisco Commercial Art College. He participated in workshops with photographers Ansel Adams and Minor White, and also represented San Francisco in the showcase of new talents in Sacramento (capital of the US state of California).

He was also responsible for structuring the Free Photography Course at PUC Goiás. And he is the author of the books Pantanal (1986), Goiânia, Cidade dos Parques (1987), in addition to the e-books Karajá, O Povo Das Águas (2019) and Adeus aos Arraiais (2019).
