Talents of the Amazon

One of the soloists in the recital, tenor Miquéias William, highlights the rescue of the Amazon composers and the importance of taking the recitals to the municipalities. "This year, the festival is very special, guaranteeing access to everyone. We are meeting people and the Amazonian recitals are a rescue and an exhibition for the population to get to know the values of our land, these wonderful composers, such as Lindalva Cruz and Claudio Santoro", he comments. "I hope that we can expand this action to other cities, so that more people can get to know the great talents and the beautiful voices from the Amazon.

Miquéias, who used to live in Manacapuru, says he is looking forward to performing in the city. "I was born in Manaus, but I lived in Manacapuru for a long time, and going back to my city, where part of my family still lives, is exciting! Singing for my former choir students will also be wonderful, an incentive for them to listen to these lyrical singers from our land, all of them of the highest level, such as Josenor, Yana, Kátia, Roberto, and Marinete", she points out.
