A space aimed at lovers of the 9th art to geek culture. This is the proposal of the 2nd Comic Book Fairthat will take place on May 26th, at the Boas Novas Education Institute, located on Av.André Araújo, n° 1.188, in the Aleixo neighborhood, South-Central Zone of Manaus, in front of the Cidade da Criança Park. At the event there will be a large open-air sebo, with various comic books (Comics) being sold at an affordable price. Admission is free.
The event will start at noon, and is expected to end at 6 pm. Groups specialized in stylized decoration of Harry Potter products will be there, as well as most of the new entrepreneurs from Manaus who have leveraged the diffusion of geek culture in the city. And speaking of diffusion, the event also offers free workshops and lectures from the Comics Club, Romahs Mascarenhas from Estúdio Mauricio de Souza and Luiz Andrade, will be teaching for those who want to get into this emerging market that is the production of comics.
The team of Site Mapingua Nerd will also be giving a talk about the saga that influenced practically all fantasy culture that was produced after the 20th century: "The Lord of the Rings".
Fans of geek culture will be able to buy lots of stories from the Marvel and DC Comics universe, as well as printed t-shirts, manga, crafts and canvas paintings.
"It's going to be a big outdoor sebo, with new and used books along with used comics and some rarities. The space will be a mix of everything that happens in the geek universe," mentions Fabiana Oliveira, one of the organizers of the event and owner of Loja O Leiturão Sebo online.
Popular foods such as hotdogs (kikão), pastries, popcorn, and sweets will also be sold at the event.
