6th edition of the Amazon Women's Race will be held in March

The race course will be 7 km, starting from the Sefaz parking lot, going along André Araújo Avenue and returning to Sefaz.

The sixth edition of the Amazonian Women's Running and Trekking is scheduled for March 10. Organized by the Amazon Talent Institute (ITA), the event aims to collect powdered milk for needy entities and has the support of the Amazonas Secretary of Public Safety (SSP-AM).

Registration can be made through the site ticketagora.com.br. The athletes will receive a kit containing a shirt and a bag for the event, as well as a registration number and a chip. The delivery will be made on March 8 and 9, when powdered milk must be delivered.

The race course will be 7 km, starting at the Sefaz parking lot, along André Araújo Avenue and returning to the Sefaz.

In the first edition of the race, the organization managed to collect 600 kg of milk, which were distributed to needy institutions. Last year, the collection rose to 1,800 kg.

The institutions that will benefit will be: Instituto Família, Lar das Marias, Casa Vhida, Abrigo Monte Salém, Abrigo São Vicente de Paula, Associação das Mulheres Soropositivas, Abrigo Coração do Pai, Casa Abrigo Raio de Sol, Casa da Criança, Centro Integrado de Promoção e Defesa dos Direitos de Pessoas Idosas, Centro Social Roger Cunha and Grupo de Apoio às Mulheres Mastectomizadas da Amazônia.
