The programming of the campaign "Red December"that takes place all over the state in allusion to the World Aids Daycontinues throughout this week, with orientation actions in four state schools in Manaus. In the interior, the cities of Tabatinga, Lábrea, Uarini and Humaitá will be carrying out educational activities, offering rapid tests for diagnosis of HIV and distribution of condoms, and training courses for health professionals working in the area.
The campaign of the State Health Secretariat (Susam), organized by the Coordination of STD/AIDS and Viral Hepatitis, has as its central theme this year "THE ART OF LIVING, #VHIVER".. During the whole month of December 1.7 million condoms, 50,000 lubricant gel units, and 50,000 informative folders will be distributed. There will be 46,325 rapid tests for HIV diagnosis and 19,900 for Syphilis.
From this Tuesday (12/12) until Friday (15/12), the State Department of Education (Seduc), through the special education coordinators, will be carrying out educational activities in high schools, with rounds of conversation, lectures, marches, making posters, group work and research and educational and preventive blitz on STD / HIV / AIDS. The action is carried out in partnership with the State Coordination of STI/AIDS and Viral Hepatitis, which is linked to the Tropical Medicine Foundation Dr. Heitor Vieira Dourado (FMT-HVD).
Program
On Tuesday (12/12), the State School Ondina de Paula Ribeiro, in Japiim, receives the educational activities. On Wednesday (13/12), it is the turn of the State School Manoel Severiano Nunes, in Alvorada. On Thursday (14/12), the teams will be in the State School President Castelo Branco, in the neighborhood São Jorge. On Friday (15), the visit will be at the State School Vasco Vasques, in Jorge Teixeira neighborhood. The activities in schools continue next week, with visits at the State Schools Marco Antonio Vilaça II, in Cidade Nova, on Monday (18/12) and Lecita Fonseca Ramos, in Rio Piorini, on Tuesday (19/12). On all days the activities take place from 8am to 11am.
This Friday (12/15), the State Coordination of STI/AIDS and Viral Hepatitis will be at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, in Parque das Garças, offering rapid tests for HIV and Syphilis, from 4pm to 8pm.
Interior
In Tabatinga (1,107 kilometers from Manaus), from this Monday (11/12) until Saturday (16/12) will be held in the indigenous community Belém do Solimões, offering rapid tests for HIV. Until Friday (15/12) also happens the basic course of Epidemiological Surveillance in STI / HIV and Viral Hepatitis, directed to health professionals. The activity will be held from 8am to 5pm, in the auditorium of the Municipal Health Secretariat of Tabatinga.
In the city of Humaitá (696 kilometers from Manaus), will be offered to the population, throughout the week, rapid tests for HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B and C, in Basic Health Units (UBS). This Tuesday (12/12), the action takes place at the UBS Nossa Senhora do Carmo. On Wednesday (12/13), it is the turn of the UBS Adriana Dantas to receive the rapid testing activities and condom distribution. On Thursday (12/14), the teams will be at UBS CSII and on Friday (12/15) at UBS Nova Humaitá. On all days the actions happen from 8am to 11am and from 1pm to 5pm.
In Uarini (569 kilometers away), on Tuesday (12/12), the Municipal Health Department teams will be at the Ednelza Bezerra Municipal School, conducting educational lectures on HIV and rapid tests for diagnosis of the disease. On Wednesday (13/12), in UBSs César Augusto Pinedo and Mario Lopes will be performed rapid tests throughout the day. In Lábrea (853 kilometers from the capital of Amazonas), until Saturday (12/16) the teams will be performing rapid tests in the UBSs.
