Manaus Ágil tourism and culture of Amazonas
The event will feature craft beers, musical concerts, food, workshops and an exhibition.
Starts this Thursday (02), the first edition of the Amazonas Beer Festival. Promoted by Amazonas Shopping, the event will have stands of craft beers, music shows, gastronomy options, workshops and exhibition. The fair is part of the program in honor of Father's Day (August 12) and the International Beer Day (August 3rd). The proposal is to offer visitors an innovative beer experience.
With the Amazonas Beer Festival, another goal to be achieved is to foster the state's beer industry. Therefore, local brands, such as Boteco do Dedé, Cervejaria Rio Negro, Mahy, and Cervejaria Império, will be present at the event. The musical program will also have a special space in the schedule. Every day there will be shows with rock bands, jazz and blues.
During the fair, visitors can visit the Sala Cervejeira. In the room, divided in four environments, the history of beer in the world is told through paintings. In the room, there will be a display of primitive beers, the raw materials for brewing, and a sensory experience, with tables for tasting the aromas and flavors of beers.
Program
On Thursday (02) at 6pm, the doctor in Biotechnology and brewer, Patrick Gomes de Souza, will give a lecture on the History of Beer. Next, at 6:30 pm, master brewer Willace Azevedo Nascimento will talk about the Brewing Process.
On International Beer Day, on Friday (03), at 6pm, beer sommelier Débora Camejo will talk about Style and Brewing Schools. At 6:30 pm, Willace Azevedo will talk to the public about the curiosities of the Beer Day. On Saturday (04), at 3pm, Willace Azevedo will unveil beer myths and truths. At 5:30pm, Patrick Gomes will talk about the professional brewer in the job market.
On Sunday (05), at 3pm, the lecture will be about Research and Innovations in the Brewing Market, with Patrick Gomes de Souza. On the same day, at 5:30pm, Emanuel Claudio de Oliveira will talk about the Association of Craft Brewers of Amazonas (Acerva).
Next Monday (06), at 6pm, Willace Azevedo will show how to harmonize beer and cheese. At 6:30pm, Débora Camejo will show how to pair beer with sausages. On the 7th, at 6pm, Débora Camejo will show how to harmonize beer with desserts. Then, at 6:30pm, visitors to the fair will be able to have a sensory experience with beer.
On the 8th, starting at 6pm, the local breweries Sarapó and Mahy will present their products. On the 9th it is the turn of the breweries Rio Negro and Battuta to show the beers they produce.
On the 10th, at 7pm, there will be a round table discussion on "Cena Cervejeira Artesanal no Amazonas", with representatives from Acerva, Baré Brewers and local breweries. On the 11th, at 3pm, the program will include a show class on Beer Brewing Practice.
