Balé Experimental of the Corpo de Dança do Amazonas stages the spectacle "Plutão (Já was planet)" this Friday (27th), at the Teatro da Instalação, and on Tuesday (31st), at Teatro Amazonas.
O Balé Experimental Dance Corps of Amazonas The Ballet Experimental Dance Company of Amazonas will once again bring to the public "Plutão (Já was planet)". The show, which is part of the project "Soul of a Poetwill be staged this Friday (27th), at 7pm, at the Theater of Instalaçãoand on Tuesday (31st), at 8pm, at the Teatro da Instalaço Amazonas Theater. The presentations are part of the cultural calendar of the Government of Amazonas, through the State Secretariat of Culture, and will have free admission.
Developed by the choreographer Rodrigo Vieira, "Plutão (Já was a planet)" discusses, through the scenery and the dancers' performance, the discredit of Plutão, considered a planet, in relation to the other planets of the Solar System.
This way, the play takes to the stage questions related to the behavior of society, such as intolerance towards minorities, resulting in discrimination, prejudice, racism, homophobia, and other problems.
This show, besides entertaining, aims to make the audience reflect on their individual behavior in the face of differences.
The proposal of the project "Soul of a Poet" (started in 2015) first épolish the choreographic studies of Balé Experimental, contributing to the technical and artistic development of the dancers.
For "Plut࣑o (Já foi planeta)", the show of the current season of the initiative, Rodrigo Vieira sought to create a metáfora that mixes science and mysticism, and also, the discussion about rebirth and death through sarcasm.
The staging was inspired by the poem "Tempo de Uiaúa", by the Amazonian writer, playwright, and journalist, Aníbal Beça (1946-2009), as a way of also paying tribute to the legacy of this artist.
