Tá Boa Bonita block discusses LGBT+ culture in Manaus, this Saturday (3)

It will be a gathering with lots of music, art and debates around LGBT+ diversity.

Carnival is already over, but, still in the festive mood, the Bloco Tá Boa Bonita promotes this Saturday, March 3, from a meeting with lots of music, art, and debates around LGBT+ diversity. LGBT+in front of Les Artistes Café Teatroin the city center. The event is free of charge.

In addition to the cultural attractions, with musical shows and exhibitions, the block will also promote conversation rounds about LGBT+ artistic diversity, public policies, female empowerment, lesbian health, human rights and trans health.

The first edition of Tá Boa Bonita will be held on Av. Sete de Setembro, in front of Les Artistes Café Teatro, in the Center, and follows the same structure of the LGBT+ Culture Festival Miga, Sua Lôca, which took place in May 2017.

Hosted by Maria Moraes and Emerson Munduruku, the cultural program will bring together names like Rodrigo Baroque, Elisa Maia and Lary Go & Strela, as well as DJs Luana Aleixo, Ademar Marinho MERM.ADE, Marcelo Nobre, Rhanna Evans and Alana Zuany.

Project Aram will give an audiovisual performance and Keila Serruya will present the video installation "Assim Aqui" (This Way Here). Mendes Auá (exhibition), Rodrigo Duarte (mapping) and Fran Martins with the performance "Efêmera".

Conversation round

In the discussions, topics such as transgender life, LGBTphobia, human rights, lesbian health, LGBT+ public policies, creative processes for female emancipation, trans health, Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) will be discussed.

The event is supported by the State Secretariat of Culture (SEC), Tá Boa Bonita Bloco Cultura LGBT+, Associação de Travestis, Transexuais e Transgêneros do Estado do Amazonas (Assotram), Penélope's Drive, Coletivo Difusão, Miga, Sua Lôca Festival Cultura LGBT, Centro Popular do Audiovisual (CPA), Naty Veiga, Sonora Music, Manifesta LGBT+ and VDR Digital.
