Bois-Bumbás of Manaus will perform at the Folkloric Festival of Amazonas

The performances of Brilhante, Garanhão and Corre Campo are part of the "Master A" Category of the festival that takes place in the arena of the Centro Cultural Povos da Amazônia.

Starting this Thursday, 2/8, the Folkloric Festival of Amazonas will feature presentations of bumbás Brilhante, Garanhão, and Corre Campo, which are part of the "Master A" Category. The event takes place at the Cultural Center Povo da Amazôniain the South zone of Manaus, starting at 8 PM. The festival ends next Saturday, 4/8.

For the presentations, the bumbás of Manaus have the financial support of the Manaus City Hall, through the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult).

The first to perform in the festival will be the boi-bumbá Brilhanteon Thursday, 2, at 23h. On Friday, 3, it will be the turn of bumbá Garanhãoat 11pm. On Saturday, 4, ending the 62nd Amazonas Folkloric Festival Gold Category, will present the boi-bumbá Corre Campoat 10:15pm.

In all, 74 groups that make up the gold category of the Amazonas Folkloric Festival will perform at the Centro Cultural Povos da Amazônia, under the supervision of the state government.

  • 8:45pm - National Dance 6 - Ajuricaba's Cafe
  • 09:30pm - Ciranda 11 - Empress of the North
  • 10:15pm - Ciranda 12 - Brotinhos do Coroado
  • 11pm - Boi Bumbá "Master A" - Stallion

4/8 - Saturday

  • 20h - Regional Garrote 2 - Estrelinha
  • 8:45pm - Traditional Group 12 - Diva na Roça
  • 09:30pm - Ciranda 13 - Coroado's Independent
  • 10:15pm - Boi Bumbá "Master A - Corre Campo
