During four days, the "Caravan of Cultureproject of the Government of Amazonas, held by the State Secretariat of Culture (SEC), integrated different strands of art in the streets and squares of Parintins. Parintinswith artists from Manaus and Tupinambarana Island.
The initiative included pockets of theater performances, clown troupe, wall revitalization, workshops on stamping, graffiti, aerial fabric, film screenings, meeting with audiovisual directors, stand up, and a visit by the Minister of Culture, Sérgio Sá Leitão.
About two thousand people attended the activities proposed by the "Caravan". Tourists and inhabitants of Parintin approved the cultural interventions in the city.
Legacy
In Parintins, the "Caravan of Culture" leaves a legacy. The walls revitalized by Turenko Beça, Raiz Campos and Romahs Mascarenhas, along with students and artists, were the beginning of other actions that will happen in the city, because materials were donated to the students and artists involved in the revitalization to continue the production.
The registration of local artists made by SEC will circulate the talent of parintinense in other editions of the "Caravan of Culture", which will happen throughout the year.
Theatrical training and exchange
In addition, the SEC will invest in local theater training and an exchange of artists between Parintins and Manaus in an exhibition planned for the coming months.
