One of the most traditional events of Manaus carnival, Carnaboi, will have no edition in 2017. A meeting was held, Wednesday (yesterday, 08), between the Secretary of State for Culture, Robério Braga, with representatives of bumbás Garantido, Caprichoso, Garanhão, Corre-Campo and Brilhante, where the proposal to hold a "Boi-bumbá Season" at the Amazonas Theaterwith biweekly shows, integrating the commemorations of the 120 years of the house and 20 years of the Secretariat of Culture and, also, with the possibility of recording a CD and DVD, serving as an alternative to replace the Carnaboi this year, enabling the Bumbás to promote presentations in a different format throughout 2017. An innovative proposal to enhance the local folklore, throughout the year, with the rhythm of the toadas.
With positive reception of the artists of each Boi-bumbá, before the economic scenario, the solution presented by the Secretary of State for Culture, Robério Braga, proved to be the most viable for the Amazonian people continue to have a taste of the already traditional Carnaboi, throughout the year.
