Our Indian Day program has been happening for several years, with differentiated activities that seek to value and preserve some indigenous customs", says Márcia Fernandes, manager of the CCPA. "With the braiding and painting workshops, and the screening of indigenous films and documentaries, we are able to reach various age groups so that everyone can understand a little of this universe.

Opening the program, on Wednesday (04/18), besides visiting the CCPA's fixed exhibitions, the public will be able to watch films with an indigenous theme and participate in painting workshops.

On Thursday (04/19), from 8am until noon, the project "Mania de Ler" will make hundreds of books available for reading on site, and also storytelling for children; the other activities of the day are exhibitions of indigenous legends; film screenings; braiding and painting workshops; and a lecture on toiletry artifacts, feather ornaments, and clothing, given by Thay Inomata.

Closing the program, on Friday the 20th, there will also be the "Mania de Ler" project; exhibitions of indigenous legends; film screenings; braiding and painting workshops.
