The performance will take place next Tuesday (4/24), at the Caracas Cineteatro.
The identity of the Amazonian origin and its grandiosity transmitted through staging. This is the proposal of the show "Butterfly Arrow of the theater company from Amazonas Arte&Fato which will be presented next Tuesday (04/24), starting at 9:30 pm, at the movie theater Caracasin Portugal. The presentation has the support of the Government of Amazonas, through the State Secretariat of Culture (SEC).
"Flecha Borboleta" is a show that translates and keeps alive the memory and resistance of the traditional peoples of Brazil and also declares tragic consequences caused by the infidelity of a marriage, thus proposing, the overcoming of Theater by entertainment. The presentation with eight actors on stage developing a repertoire integrated by the history of indigenous culture and its importance for keeping alive the largest rainforest in Brazil.
According to Douglas Rodrigues, artistic director of the show, the proposal is to highlight a story that is still little known, reinvigorating the indigenous identity. "Staging 'Butterfly Arrow' is to open the human senses, in the sense of humanity, making this theater a meeting with the original cultures. It is a new story in the old continent, belonging to all of us," he says.
The artistic director emphasizes the gratification in being able to take indispensable stories about Brazilian culture to foreign audiences and highlights the company's international projection.
"As a director it is very gratifying to be able to contribute not only to the Amazon theater, but also to the company that ends up arriving at a remarkable moment in this artistic segment", says Rodrigues. "When we manage to make an international projection and open fields for other companies to also work with another market in mind, we realize that we are reaching the goals we set at the beginning," he concludes.

The play is based on real facts and describes the tragic consequences of the relationship between the Indian archer "Butterfly Arrow" and an American aviator. In giving birth to the aviator's child, the Indian woman ends up renouncing her own culture and promises the child an American future.
