Tickets for the concert are on sale at the theater box office.
This Friday (03/09), at 8pm, the Amazonas Philharmonic presents another concert of the Guaraná Series on the stage of the Amazonas Theater. The performance will bring together the "Concerto for Two Pianos No. 10" by W.A. Mozartby W.A. Mozart (1756-1791) and the "Pulcinella Suite" , by Igor Stravinskyby Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971), conducted by Luiz Fernando Malheiro.
Tickets for the concert are on sale at the theater box office for R$50 (full price) for the audience and friezes. The other seats will be free.
In the presentation of Mozart's piece, the soloists Marcelo de Jesus, also assistant conductor of the Amazonas Philharmonic, and Renan Branco, guest musician, will be playing the piano next to the orchestra. The German composer's work is divided into three movements: "Allegro", "Andante", and "Rondo".
The "Pulcinella Suite" will feature the Elgar Quintet, a solo quintet formed by musicians from the Amazonas Philharmonic: Bárbara Soares and Igor Jouk (violins), Diemerson Sena (viola), Anna Samokish (cello), and Gabriel Neves Coelho (piano). First performed in 1922, the suite is derived from Stravinsky's ballet of the same name, written by the Russian composer in 1920.
After the concert, which marks the end of the 2017/2018 season of the Guaraná Series, the Amazonas Philharmonic will take a break from performances to dedicate to rehearsals for the Festival Amazonas de Ópera (FAO), which will have its 21st edition in April and May.
