"Violão e Samba" concert at Teatro Amazonas
"Oh, my God, how I miss Amelia!". This and other Brazilian samba songs can be heard at the Teatro Amazonas next Tuesday (21), in the concert Guitar and Sambawith the Amazonas Guitar Orchestra and the Amazonas Folkloric Ballet, held by the Amazonas Government, through the State Secretariat of Culture, from 20h on, with free admission.
According to Davi Nunes, conductor of the Orchestra, the goal of the concert is to bring songs that gave the first steps in the development of the Brazilian samba.
"We are going to take a good trip, from the songs from the beginning of samba to the most current ones! It will be a good way to get in the mood for Carnaval," he declares.
The public will be able to hear the highest quality songs interpreted by the orchestra in the voice of Amanda Aparício, such as Améliaby Ataulfo Alves, and the famous Brasileirinhoby Waldir Azevedo. Songs such as Samba de Uma Nota Sóby Tom Jobim, Tempo Bomby Chico da Silva, and The World is a Millby Cartola, are also part of the repertoire of the show, which will last one hour and will include a beautiful performance by the Amazonas Folkloric Ballet.
