Costume Contest and Bailinho animate the Sunday of the little revelers

Events will take place on stage and in the lira Teatro Amazonas, with free access

Carnival Sunday (Feb. 16) will be lively for the kids with the traditional Children's Costume Costume Contest for Children and a Bailinho at Amazonas Theater. The events, promoted by the State Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, will take place, respectively, on stage and in the lira, with free access.

The program will begin with the contest, starting at 5:30 pm, on the stage of the Theater. The participants will compete in two categories: Luxury and Originality, subdivided by age group (3 to 5 years, 6 to 8 years, and 9 to 12 years). The first three winners in each category will be awarded. The prizes vary from R$ 300 (three hundred reais) to R$ 800 (eight hundred reais).

Starting at 7pm, the Bailinho will begin on the lira (the space between the stairs outside the theater) with lots of music, games, entertainment, and confetti. All under the command of the Alecrim Nativos Group.

Registration

To participate in the Costume Contest, interested parties must deliver, until 16:30 next Friday (14/02), the Protocol sector of the State Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, the registration form - filled in full, in print, and signed by the candidate or legal representative -, accompanied by the documentation required in the announcement of the contest, available on the tab "Editais" do Portal da Cultura. The Secretariat's headquarters is located at 1.546 Sete de Setembro Avenue, Downtown, attached to the Palácio Rio Negro Cultural Center.

On the day of the event registration will only be accepted from 10am to 2pm, at Teatro Amazonas.
