Manaus Ágil tourism and culture of AmazonasBecause of the holidays, the spaces of the State Secretariat of Culture (SEC) will have the operating hours changed in the period from December 24 to 31.
Will run from 9am to 5pm, except on days 24, 25, December 31 and January 1. It is worth mentioning that people born in the Amazon who bring their General Register (RG) have free entrance.
From December 26 to 29, the Amazonas Public Library, the Arts Library, the Arthur Reis Library, the Braille Library, the Genesino Braga Library, the Padre Agostinho Caballero Martin Library, the Mario Ypiranga Monteiro Library, and the Thália Phedra Borges dos Santos Library will work normally, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Except on December 24th, 25th, 31st and January 1st, the cultural centers Palácio da Justiça, Rio Branco, Rio Negro, Palacete Provincial, Usina Chaminé, Teatro Gebes Medeiros, Américo Alvarez and Teatro da Instalação will be open from 9am to 2pm.
The Centro Cultural Povos da Amazônia (CCPA) will operate from 8am to 2pm for general activities and from 2pm to 5pm there will only be administrative work.
Between December 26 and 30 some spaces will have presentations of the Open Space Program. On December 27, the musical "Cantigas de cantador urbano" will be presented at the Gebes Medeiros Theater, starting at 6pm. Access is free.
On December 28 and 29, the company Kanauã will present the shows "Virar a página" and "Experimentos de morte", respectively, at the Teatro da Instalação, starting at 7 pm, also free of charge.
On December 30, the Gebes Medeiros Theater will host the children's play "A Ghost for His Majesty", by Cia T-Art.com.
Located in the São João Igarapé, a tributary of the Tarumã Mirim (rural area), the Vila Paraíso Rubber Plantation Museum will be closed on December 24 and 25, and also on December 31 and January 1, starting at 1pm. The museum will return to normal operation on the 2nd.
Between December 26 and 29, the Tiradentes, Homem do Norte, Imagem e do Som do Amazonas, Numismática do Amazonas, Arqueologia, Casa Eduardo Ribeiro and the Pinacoteca do Estado museums will be open from 9am to 2pm for free visits.
With the exhibitions "Filhas da Rua" and "Religare" running, the Galeria do Largo will open its doors from 1pm to 7pm, except on December 24th, 25th and 31st.
Claudio Santoro High School of Arts and Crafts
With the 2017 school term closed, the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios Claudio Santoro will operate from 8am to 5pm, for the renewal of enrollment.
