Tourists from all over the world elected six Brazilian tourist spots as one of the best in the world. The information is from Travellers'Choice 2019 - an award held annually by one of the largest travel websites in the world: Trip Advisor. The survey considered the evaluations of the travelers themselves who visited Brazilian and foreign destinations last year. Places like Porto Seguro (BA), Gramado (RS), Arraial do Cabo (RJ), Petrópolis (RJ), Fernando de Noronha (PE) and the Beto Carreiro World park are in the platform's rankings.
For the Minister of Tourism, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio, the survey only proves the great tourist vocation that Brazil has. "Tourists from all over the world are recognizing that our country has great attractiveness and variety of tourism. Besides the natural beauties, we have great attractions, parks, cuisine, and hospitality that can't be found in any other country", he highlighted.
Among the top destinations in the world, Porto Seguro (BA) and Gramado (RS) ranked in the top 5, losing only to Kochi (India), Luzon (Philippines) and Porto (Portugal), respectively. In the category "Emerging Destinations", Petrópolis, in Rio de Janeiro, appears in 19th place, ahead of places in India and Australia, for example. In "Attractions", the park Beto Carreiro World, located in Santa Catarina, stands out among the main entertainment places in the world.
The Brazilian beaches could not be left out. Two of them were among the top five, and Sancho Bay, in Fernando de Noronha, was elected the best in the world. Another one that stood out in the ranking was Prainhas do Pontal do Atalaia, in Arraial do Cabo. The place was the fifth best evaluated by the tourists who use the platform.
