Curated by artist Jandr Reis, the exhibition celebrates 15 years of the artistic career of Débora Miranda de Andrade, aka Di Miranda. Living in the United Kingdom, the artist declares that exhibiting in her homeland is a moment of great happiness. "I have been living outside of Brazil for 25 years, but my origins are here, my family is still here. So this exhibition has a great meaning for me.
For "Colors in Movement", besides the works from the collection, the public will be able to see 17 new canvases painted especially for the show. "I don't have labels for my art, I paint a bit of cubism, sacred, regionalism; whatever my inspiration asks me to, I am painting, whether religious or indigenous figures. The public will be able to see a little of everything I do in art in this exhibition," he points out.

The exhibition is at the Palace of Justice until April 19 and, after the opening this Thursday, will be available during the visiting hours of the cultural space: Tuesday through Saturday, from 9am to 5pm, and Sundays, from 9am to 2pm.
Di Miranda
Born in the Amazon and based in the UK, Di Miranda is an artist from the Amazon who completes 15 years of activity in 2020, a year that marks a new stage in her career. Her paintings, predominantly made in oil, move with ease through different styles, such as sacred, abstractionism, cubism, and regional Amazonian, among others.
Rising on the European scene, Di Miranda was recently highlighted by exhibiting 40 works at NEOS 2019 (North East Open Studios), one of Scotland's leading art exhibitions. For the coming months, the Amazonian is already studying proposals to present her paintings in major events in countries like Switzerland, Spain, France and Portugal.
