Manaus Ágil tourism and culture of the Amazon"Star Wars," "Harry Potter," "ET" and "Indiana Jones" are some of the cinematic works that will have their soundtracks performed by the Amazonas Philharmonic Orchestra.
In allusion to the World Autism Awareness Day, celebrated on April 2nd, the Amazonas Theater will receive, on Thursday (04/05), at 20h, the show "Movie Soundtrack"which is part of the "Heroes of Overcoming" campaigncampaign, promoted by the Autism Institute of Amazonas.
The movie lovers who attend the event, besides contributing to the Institute, will watch the presentation of the Amazonas Philharmonic Orchestrathat, under the regency of the conductor Marcelo de Jesus, will interpret soundtracks of the movies "Star Wars, "Harry Potter, "Indiana Jones, "Jaws" e "ET".
"We chose John Williams' soundtrack because it is well known by the public, and our wish is to take as many people as possible to this presentation", says conductor Marcelo de Jesus. "We from the Amazonas Philharmonic Orchestra are always available to participate in these solidarity events, because our social function, besides bringing music to the public, is to contribute to actions like this one", explains the conductor.
The event is charitable and tickets can be purchased at the box office of the Teatro Amazonas or through the website www.aloingressos.com.br.
Overcoming Heroes
The campaign promoted by the Autism Institute in the Amazon aims to highlight the power and capacity of autistic people and their families to overcome the most varied forms of difficulties. It also aims to make the Amazon population aware of the specific aspects of autism.
During the campaign, children and teenagers with autism will be photographed dressed as superheroes, to emphasize their abilities as a way of overcoming. The photos will be used in social networks and will make up a photographic exhibition.
Autism Institute in Amazonas
It was founded on November 6, 2011, with the purpose of serving people with Autism Spectrum Disorders - ASD and their families, with free service of specialized therapeutic care in: Pedagogy, Psychology, Speech Therapy, Physical Education, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work and Elementary School Teachers.
