With the theme The World and the Imaginationthe artist Jessé de Araújo exhibits his works, for the first time, at the Paço of Libertyin the Historic Center of Manaus. The exhibition will be available for viewing from Monday, 12/3, at 9am. The exhibition consists of a collection of drawings that reveal the fundamental and healthy relationship that perpetuates the importance of imagination.
"It is my internal observation, where my mind needs to create various distorted worlds that my restlessness imagines," explains the author of the works. Jesse also says that his inspirations are anthropomorphic beings through which he represents the forms of the cells present in living beings. "These works are a symbiosis of various animate and inanimate beings and geometric shapes that merge, thus creating a new creature," he adds.
According to Paço da Liberdade curator Óscar Ramos, the artist introduces people to a world that does not exist, without the reality that surrounds it. "Jessé portrays a world in which the everyday becomes extraordinary, through idealizations that bring the freshness and innocence of a young and enthusiastic mentality with its own capacity and possibility of this realization," he says.
Ramos also completes by saying that the most surprising thing about these works is the almost "naïf" understandingnaïf" (simple) understanding of the launch of the figure in space. "These works bring in themselves a lovely freshness of novelty, they have the remote capacity to be called beautiful and decorative, without taking away from them the primordial involvement of the creation of the work of art," concludes the curator.
The artist
Jessé de Araújo is a student of Biomedicine and started in Visual Arts as a sculptor, where he participated in several group exhibitions and always made drawings, but this is the first time he will exhibit them. The artist defines his style as figurative abstract rustic and surreal. For the future, Jessé says he wants to continue his creative process and to continue exhibiting his works.
