Passo a Paço 2018 Gastronomic Fair is open for public notice

Individuals and companies can apply to the contest.

A Gastronomic Fair of Passo a Paço 2018 is with the public notice open for those who want to participate, as chefs, cooks, food bike and food trucks. Launched by the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult), the event will be held in the Historic Center of Manaus on 1 and 2 September.

The notice # 08/2018 was published in the 4,411 edition, of the Diário Oficial do Município (DOM), this Tuesday, July 31st, and can also be consulted in the portal Viva Manaus. Applications must be made until the day 9/8, from 8am to 5pm, directly in the protocol of Manauscult, located at Av. André Araújo, No. 2767, Aleixo, Centro-Sul. Individuals and companies can apply to the contest.

In this edition, the fair will provide up to 48 spaces for the sale of food divided into five categories: Chef's Tent (up to 20 places); New Chefs (up to 2 places); Food Truck (up to 15 places); Food Bike (up to 8 places) and Future Talents (up to 3 places).

The "Chef's Tent", "New Chefs" and "Future Talents" categories feature a temporary space set up with a tent structure and culinary equipment for preparing and selling food. Food trucks and food bikes are mobile spaces that transport and sell food, and can be a van or small truck, or a vehicle with two wheels, motorized or not.

Universities

Aiming to stimulate academic training, research incentive, and professionalization in the job market, the "Future Talents" category will be especially destined to universities with undergraduate courses in gastronomy. Each institution, invited by Manauscult, will be able to operate a stand and sell the food prepared by their students.

Values

The food dishes sold by the proponents at the Gastronomy Fair, being savory or sweet, must respect the minimum value of R$ 5 and the maximum value of R$ 15. The proponents may also sell drinks, as long as they are handmade and original, such as natural juices, smoothies, drinks and others.

Interested parties must submit a portfolio that demonstrates the experience and/or the amount of services offered by the restaurant or chef, such as: certificates, graduation diploma in gastronomy, awards, reviews and others proving the activities performed in the gastronomic area.
