Event organizers plan to contemplate the public that already prestige the event, with prizes and exclusive promotions.
The largest and most complete free street fair in Manaus takes place next March 12, from 16h, in the surroundings of the Praça Dom Pedro II, in front of the Paço da Liberdade Museum, in the Historical Center. For this year's season, the Paço Fair, which brings together artists and entrepreneurs from the most diverse sectors of the creative economy, announces some new features.
With the participation of more than 40 exhibitors of products and services, who registered through the Instituto Amazônia's website, the open-air fair also has a wide and diversified gastronomy area, a children's area, an exhibition of old and customized motorcycles and cars, and a new area: the geek space.
Beto Contartesi, who is in charge of the overall production, says that this season the fair will gain dynamism and surprises that only those who follow the editions will realize.
"Last year the attractions were announced, but without a schedule, because the idea is to generate sensory experiences in those who attend the fair. For this season, the fair will feature exclusive and dynamic awards and promotions carried out with the public present at the event," he explains.
Besides the products exhibited and commercialized, fostering this niche market in the city and providing appropriate spaces and valuing the professional, the Paço Fair is held in one of the most important tourist spots, where the Marco Zero of Manaus is located, composed of historic buildings and cobblestone streets that are cultural heritage of the city.
For the president-director of the Amazon Institute (IA)Paulo Henrique de Castro, the fair collaborates with the cultural, historical, and social development of the city. "The Institute performs daily actions in the São Vicente community of a sociocultural, pedagogical, formative and social development nature. Besides our social headquarters 'Casa do Frei', or even through two old houses that we revitalized at Rua Frei José dos Inocentes and now offer courses in the areas of music and performing arts with part of the vacancies destined to the residents, the Paço Fair symbolizes the appropriation of such an important place by the residents, where we find Praça Dom Pedro II, listed as the first archaeological site of the city, and is also an invitation for the population to revisit and get to know this new reality", he comments.
