From May 24th to 27th, the Ingá Parkin Manacapuruwill receive the second edition of "Manacançãoin which the artists compete in two categories: Free and Christian. In the event, which is supported by the Government of Amazonas, through the State Secretariat of Culture (SEC), in addition to the competitive showcase, there will also be shows of four musical attractions. Admission will be free.
Seeking to value cultural identity in music, the "Manacanção" aims to enhance the work of musicians and composers, in addition to the tourist movement. About 20 artists will compete in two categories: Free and Christian. The competitors will be evaluated according to the criteria of best music, best lyrics, vocal tuning, interpretation, and harmony.
The prize money will be R$ 5 thousand for the winner; R$ 3 thousand for second place; and R$ 1 thousand for third place.
The festival will also feature shows by Brazilian country singer Dieguin Damasceno and band, the Maranatha Ministrythe group Raízes Caboclas Raízes Caboclas and the singer Kelliane and band. According to Arlen Martins, marketing director of the tourism department of Manacapuru, the festival, besides valuing and highlighting the work of artists, also aims to grow in the tourism sector of the city.
"The main goal of 'Manacanção' is to rescue, enrich and promote new talents in local music, and encourage local tourism, because this causes a large economic movement, contributing to the generation of jobs, income and creation of infrastructure, which benefits not only tourists, but also the local population, "he says.
