The project Tony Berchmans Cinepiano promotes the screening of "The Kidclassic of silent film, directed and starred by directed by Charles Chaplinstarting at 7pm next Sunday, March 4th, at the Teatro Amazonas Theater. The novelty is the soundtrack, which will be played live on the piano during the screening.

Produced in 1921, "The Kid" follows the Tramp (Charles Chaplin), who finds a baby in a garbage can left by a desperate mother and decides to take it to her poor home and adopt it. Five years later, he discovers that the mother has become someone famous, and he will try to return the child to her, but not before many meetings and mismatches take place.

Created and performed by Tony Berchmans, Cinepiano is a tribute to this little-known facet of cinema. Accompanying classics from the film period of the time, he improvises the musical soundtrack on the piano, using his own themes inspired by the styles of the time, such as ragtime, polka and traditional jazz, always in sync with the action and the emotional moments of the film. Cinepiano has been presented in prestigious cultural institutions such as MIS-SP (Museu da Imagem e do Som) and units of SESC, SESI, and some international events such as NATTJazz (traditional Norwegian jazz festival), Teatro Rossi Aperto (Italy), and the Transilvania International Film Festival (Romania).

The tickets are on sale at Alô Ingressos website and vary between R$ 40 and R$ 60 (full admission).
