Shopkeepers participating in DLI will deduct taxes from the value of the products, selling them at the real price.
A Chamber of Young Shopkeepers Managers (Young CDL)in partnership with Amazonas Shoppingon Thursday (24), will hold another edition of the Tax Freedom Day (DLI).. More than 50% of stores, of various segments, have already confirmed participation in the campaign. The Amazonas Shopping will work with special hours on the DLI, from 10h to 23h.
In addition, customers who make the payment for parking by the Amazonas Shopping app will have a special discount. The first three hours of parking will cost only R$ 6, after which an additional fee of R$ 2 per hour will be charged.
The shopping center shopkeepers who join the DLI will deduct the taxes from the value of the products, selling them for the real price. The action is a form of protest against the high tax burden in the country. Each store will make available at least five tax-free products.
Among the stores that have already confirmed their participation are: Tapiocaria, ADJI, Aleatory, Alemã, Amazon Print, Ancolie, Avatin, Baggagio, Calvin Klein, Camarão e Cia, Centauro, Chifon, Clube Melissa, Concorde, Crocs, CS Club, Damyller, Drugstore, FGV, Fiorentina, Granada Beach, Havaianas, Hering Kids, Hering Store, Hope, Imaginarium, Jogê, Lápis de Cor, Levi's, Lupo, Morana, Mr. Cat, Objeto de Papel, Pão&Cia, Pizza Hut, Quem disse, Berenice? Risoto Mix, Sketch, Sonho dos Pés, Via Uno, World Tennis and Yoga. More stores should join the DLI until the campaign date.
This year, the DLI will take place simultaneously in the capital of 16 Brazilian states - Amazonas, Amapá, Bahia, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Paraíba, Roraima and Santa Catarina, as well as in the Federal District.
In 2018, the manauara should exceed 6 months of work just to pay taxes. While in 2017 this number was 153 days, which is equivalent to a little over 5 months. According to the Brazilian Institute of Planning and Taxation (IBPT), the country's population works an average of 150 days a year just for the payment of taxes on services and products.
