The most important economic and tourist destinations in the interior of Amazonas, the municipality of Maués is one of the most important in the state of Amazonas. Maués (253 kilometers from Manaus) now has a new airport delivered on the afternoon of Monday (4).

Included by the Ministryíof Tourism in the Map of Brazilian Destinations, the mayor of Maués, Junior Leite, said that in 2018 will beão scheduled meetings with representatives of the Agência Nacional de Aviaç (Anac) and the Brazilian Airport Infrastructure Company (Infraero) to accelerate the technical restructuring of the airédromo to receive larger aircraft and night flights.
