Milton and band bring in the repertoire of songs that deeply marked the 50 years of his career.
In August, the singer Milton Nascimento will bring to Manaus the show "Seed of the Earth, which unifies the various struggles of his biography in a single and exciting show. The presentations will take place on the 13th and 14th, at 8pm, at Amazonas Theater. Tickets are already on sale at the theater's box office and on the Alô Ingressos website.
"Seed of the Earth" is the most recent social theme in the artist's repertoire, and counts with works such as "Travessia", "Encontros e Despedidas", "Me deixa em paz", "Sentinela", "Nos bailes da vida", "Maria Maria", "Lágrimas do Sul", "Mais bonito não há", O cio da terra", "Nada será como antes", among others.
The proposal of the show is to unify the various struggles of his biography. Everything in a way never seen before with a repertoire that goes through the artist's main faces. This way, Milton and the band bring, through music, a reflection of extreme days, like the present ones, and also through songs that deeply marked the 50 years of history since the first recording of "Travessia".
Career
Throughout more than fifty years of an award-winning international career, Milton Nascimento has embraced several social causes and militated alongside the most important environmental groups in the world.
The political character of his music is evident since his first album, "Milton Nascimento" - released in 1967 - a revolutionary album that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2017.
From then on, Milton carried out critically acclaimed projects while awakening public opinion to the plight of Indians (Tixai), blacks (Massa dos quilombos), landless workers (Levantados do chão), women (Pietá) and children (Ser Minas tão Gerais). And, while singing his great hits around the world, he never left aside the social message of his music.
In a trajectory celebrated not only with five Grammy statuettes, but also with ecological awards such as the Rain Forest (The Nobel for Ecology), besides several titles - he is an honorary doctor in Brazil and in the USA - and other honors, Milton had never done on stage something that would highlight all the causes he has taken on during his career.
