'Os Saltimbancos'
Closing the first stage of the 11th edition of the Amazonas Theater Festival, a Trilhares Company presents to the children's audience the classic work 'Os Saltimbancos Os Saltimbancosby Chico Buarque. The only session of the play will be at 4pm this Wednesday, March 29, at Teatro Amazonas, with tickets at R$ 20 and R$ 10 (half-price for students with ID).
The children's classic 'os Saltimbancos' crosses generations with the same brilliance. The story brings the struggle of four animals against the oppressive, exploitative, and increasingly demanding machine, a connotation of the capitalist system: oppressor versus oppressed. Inspired by the classic adaptation by Chico Buarque de Holandathe show is Cia. Trilhares' first musical.
On stage, the company takes the stage to bring to the children's audience all the essence of the adaptation of the play, with songs known by children and a scenery that comes to life through Shadow Theater.
The activities of the 11th Amazonas Theater Show, which is supported by the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult), will return for a second stage, from April 24th to 30th, with 14 shows at Les Artistes Café Teatro.
