Manaus Ágil tourism and culture of AmazonasMTur will invest R$ 20 million in publicizing the Legal Amazon
In response to the request made about twenty days ago by the state governments of the Legal Amazon, through the State Secretariats of Tourism and Communication, the Ministry of Tourism (MTur) confirmed that a broad campaign to promote tourism to the region will be carried out. According to the agency, the initiative will have an investment of around R$ 20 million for the dissemination action in the national and international markets. The whole campaign will be developed along the same lines of what was recently done by the Ministry with the 'Northeast Summer' campaign.
The confirmation occurred during an audience at the Ministry of Tourism, in Brasília, on Wednesday (22), attended by the Amazon Secretaries of Tourism and Communication. At the meeting, the national secretary of Tourism Qualification and Promotion, Teté Bezerra, also said that the Minister of Tourism, Marx Beltrão, determined that the campaign will be conceived and finalized by May, to be presented during the 14th Governors Meeting of the Legal Amazon, already scheduled to be held in Rondônia.
"The minister's intention is to present it and then start publicizing it in June and July, taking advantage of the Amazon summer period, as it was suggested. It is important to highlight that within the planning of the Ministry of Tourism we understand the importance of promoting the potential of the Amazon and this proposal of the Forum meets our expectations. I believe that together we will do an excellent job", said Secretary Teté Bezerra.
The Ministry's special advisor, Maurício Rasi, emphasized that the whole team is enthusiastic about the joint work and that the promotion of the different regions was being thought by the Ministry. "We have to make choices within a schedule and we believe that this union helps overcome the difficulties, making it clear to everyone that the Amazon's moment has arrived", said Rasi.
For the national secretary, the joint effort of the tourism and communication secretariats is fundamental. "This integration makes it so that we all have the same language, the same vision, of what can be developed within the tourist products that the Amazon offers. We are aware of the various regions that the Amazon comprises, but we also have many of them that unite us, providing the construction of integrated itineraries so that the Brazilian and even the international tourist can get to know the Legal Amazon", declared Teté Bezerra.

The campaign is one of the joint actions that the Forum of Communication Secretariats, formed by the nine states of the Legal Amazon, is developing. The group was made official with the intention of joining efforts in the realization of actions and activities in public management focused on communication, due to the affinities they have and the challenges, which are similar
For the secretary of communication of Pará, coordinator of the Forum of Communication Secretariats, the result of the first action was positive. "We left here already with a defined position from the ministry, which understood very well that we want to promote the Amazon region as a whole, just like it was done with the Northeast Region, where no state was specifically promoted, the region was promoted as a whole, and the same will be done now with the Amazon region. This shows that the ministry, the Federal Government, Brazil, is looking more at the 'brasis' that exist in our country, so it is very gratifying for us, from the Amazon, to realize that we have succeeded in this claim and that the Amazon will also be contemplated with the same funding, with the same reinforcement, with the same effort from the Federal Government to publicize our region", Nardin analyzed.
