About Seringal Vila Paraíso Museum

It was inaugurated on August 16, 2002 as a museum and tourist project of SEC. In the first two years it had the participation of the Justo Chermont ship for scheduled visits three times a week with theatrical actors and period figures.

The museum presents to the visitors a scenario closer to the reality of a rubber plantation from that time, more specifically from the period of the Rubber Cycle at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century.

It is open from Sunday to Sunday, from 8am to 4pm, and admission costs R$ 5 (five reais), with half-entry for students.

The museum is located in the rural area of Manaus, in the region of the São João Igarapé, a tributary of the Tarumã-Mirim Igarapé, on the left bank of the Negro River. The trip to the site is only by river, taking a boat from the Marina do David, in the Ponta Negra neighborhood, which takes about 25 minutes.
