Manaus Ágil tourism and culture of the AmazonThe minicourse will have theoretical and practical classes.
A mini course with the basics of Gardening and Landscaping will be held by the Manaus City Hall, on the next days 16 and 17/5, from 8am to 12pm, in the Municipal Park Lagoa Senator Arthur Virgilio Filho, in Japiim, South zone. The minicourse will have theoretical and practical classes, which will be taught by the forest engineer Sergio Pacheco and the architect Raquel Nunes.
The minicourse will pass on information about soil care, cultural treatments such as pruning, fertilizing, and arrangement of species according to the spaces available for planting, digging and planting.
In this edition, the practical part of the minicourse, which usually took place in the park itself, will be held at the Praça da Matriz, Center, where students can follow a landscaping activity performed by technicians from the Municipal Department of Environment and Sustainability (Semmas), through the project Ornamenta Manaus.
