Manaus, Viracopos and Brasilia obtained the best satisfaction ratings, by category of passenger handling capacity.

The National Secretary of Civil Aviation (SAC) of the Ministry of Infrastructure awarded, on Wednesday (13), the three best rated airports in Brazil, by category of passenger movement. On a scale of 1 to 5, Viracopos Airport, in Campinas (SP), obtained the highest overall satisfaction score (4.71) among terminals with capacity for 5 to 15 million people a year. A total of 20 airports were analyzed by 81,000 travelers in four quarterly surveys throughout 2018.
The Minister of Tourism, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio, highlighted the importance of the Airports+Brazil Award, which takes into consideration the quality of services provided to users of Brazilian airports. "This recognition reflects how much the airline industry has improved to reach the best levels of competitiveness in the provision of services to users of small, medium, and large terminals. This award fulfills the function of generating healthy competition, with airports stimulated to offer permanent excellence to travelers", he said.
In the category of terminals that receive more than 15 million passengers a year, Brasília (DF) obtained the best general satisfaction index (4.41). As for International Airport of Manaus (AM)with a score of 4.48, was elected by respondents as the best among terminals that handle up to 5 million passengers annually.
The 2018 Passenger Satisfaction Survey also indicated the winner among airlines: Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras obtained the best assessment from travelers and also took the awards for Check-in + Efficient and Baggage Restitution + Efficient.
The Airports + Brazil Award is the result of four quarterly rounds of research conducted by the National Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SAC) throughout the year. The confidence level is 95%, with a margin of error of 5%. The winners were chosen by passengers of domestic and international flights, based on more than 81,000 interviews conducted in 2018. The grades assigned to the evaluation of airport services and infrastructure range from 1 (very bad) to 5 (very good).
