Manaus City Hall announces attractions of New Year's Eve 2020

The New Year's Eve party will be promoted in three points of the city: Ponta Negra Beach, in the West Zone; Educandos, South Zone; and Shopping Phelippe Daou, in the East Zone

One of the leading names in funk today, the singer Jerry Smith will be the national attraction of the Ponta Negra stage at New Year's Eve Manaus 2020. The singers Guto Lima, Uendel Pinheiro, Band Impakto, Canto da Mata and 16 other attractions will also shake the New Year's Eve party promoted by the Manaus City Hall, in three points of the city: Ponta Negra Beach, West zone; Educandos, South zone; and Shopping Phelippe Daou, East zone.

"We will have a large service structure set up to offer leisure and safety to the families of Manauaras. Our teams of traffic, transportation, public cleaning and other areas will be ready to promote a beautiful party," said Mayor Arthur Virgílio Neto, who, as he does traditionally every year of his administration, will pass by the three sites with a City Hall program.

At Ponta Negra, the beach is already being prepared for the big party. Besides Jerry Smith, the attractions will be on the stage, which is already being set up: The Beatles Bossa Club, Grupo Cacildes, Marcos Paulo, Uendel Pinheiro, Guto Lima and DJ May Seven. At the location, the traditional fireworks show will last ten minutes, starting from rafts positioned in the Negro River.

Simultaneously, the Manaus New Year's Eve 2020 party also takes place at the Shopping Phelippe Daou, and at the Amarelinho waterfront, in the Educandos neighborhood. In both places, there will also be a fireworks display lasting from five to eight minutes.

On the stage of Shopping Phelippe Daou the artists Canto da Mata, Pegada do Gueto, Berg Guerra, Guto Lima, Tomi Xote, Toinho Forró Show and DJ Carol Amaral will perform. On the Amarelinho shore, the confirmed attractions are Paulo Onça, Uns e Outros, Frutos do Pagode, Banda Impakto, Forró Já Quero and Jyou Guerra.

Other points in the city, such as Viver Melhor, in the North Zone, and Colônia Antônio Aleixo, in the East Zone, will also receive support from the Manaus City Hall for the New Year's Eve parties, and also Yemanjá's New Year's Eve, promoted by the Amazon Articulation of Traditional Peoples of African Matrix (Aratrama) and the Toy Badé Socio-Cultural Development Association, which will take place at Ponta Negra.
