The project also provides for the urbanization of the entire waterfront, with the creation of squares, outdoor gyms, parks, boxes, among others.
The project to build the entire waterfront of the city has been working by the City of Parintins. This week, the Secretariat of Works concludes the probing of the land and topographic survey of part of the area that will benefit from the work. The area ranges from the Slaughterhouse, in the Santa Clara neighborhood, to the end of Armando Prado Street, in the São Benedito neighborhood.
The project will be divided into four stages, with the initial phase of construction of concrete and iron piling, with a minimum depth of 12 meters, a structure that will serve as protection for the retaining wall.
For the works secretary, Mateus Assayag, Mayor Bi Garcia's intention is to start the work in the most critical areas, among them the Comunas area, downtown, and at the end of Armando Prado street. In both places the work will be done on an emergency basis.
"Mayor Bi is doing his part, to enable the improvement projects for the city, but this will only be possible with funds from the Federal and State Governments. We are running behind so that the work can start as soon as possible", guaranteed the secretary.
One of the amendments already approved for the work is on the order of $ 45 million, Senator Omar Aziz.
The project also foresees the urbanization of the entire waterfront, with the creation of squares, outdoor gyms, parks, and boxes, among others.
