First Amazon Forum of Culture and Science has open inscriptions

The Forum will be open to university faculty and students, artists, producers and cultural managers, and others interested in the proposed theme.

Registrations are open for the First Culture and Science Forum of the Amazonto be held on May 28 and 29, at the Rio Amazonas auditorium, in the Faculty of Social Studies (FES) of the Federal Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM)located at Av. General Rodrigo Octavio, 3.000, Coroado.

The event marks the partnership between the State Secretariat of Culture (SEC), the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam) and the State University of Amazonas (UEA) for the development of cultural activities in the capital and interior of the state.

The Forum will be open to professors and students of the universities, artists, producers and cultural managers and others interested in the proposed theme. Those interested can register, free of charge, until the day of the event through the Culture Portal. There will be a certificate for participants.

With the subtitle "New paths for the development of Amazonas", thethe Forum will have working groups (WGs) and debates on science and cultural projects, with the aim of collecting ideas for future joint actions, since the occasion will also include the signing of a technical cooperation agreement between the entities.

The meeting will be attended by the State Secretary of Culture, Denilson Novo; the rector of the Federal University of Amazonas, Sylvio Puga; and the rector of the Amazonas State University, Cleinaldo Costa, who will speak about the need to build integrated cultural policies in the State, besides presenting the work proposals of their institutions.

Themes of the WGs

Among the Forum's activities the Working Groups proposed by the entities stand out. Ufam will lead the WGs Art, Culture and Accessibility", which will be mediated by professor Renato Antônio Medeiros Pinto; "Continued Formation in Arts teaching methodologies (Music, Visual Arts, Theater and Dance)"; mediated by professor Rosemara Staub de Barros/FAARTES; "Capacity-building in the organization of archives and libraries", mediated by professor Raimundo Martins de Lima/FLIC and "Literature and Theater", with professor Saturnino Valladares/FLIC.

UEA will act in the themes "Culture and its Funding", with mediation by professor Fabio Carmo Plácido dos Santos; and "Formation and Consolidation of Artistic Groups", mediated by professor Jhon Weiner de Castro.

The SEC will offer five work groups: "Economy and Creative Cities", mediated by Karla Colares, an administrator specialized in Creative Economy; "Cultural Management and Production", mediated by Taciano Soares, the SEC's Director of Cultural Centers; "Heritage: Restoration, Conservation and Immateriality", mediated by Regina Lobato, Director of Patrimony at SEC, Judeth Costa, manager of the Restoration Atelier, and Marcia Tribuzy, graduate in Music; "Technology and Innovation", by Computer Engineer Rhullyanna Magalhães; and "Territorialities: other fronts for culture", by Francis Madson, master's student in Theory, History and Criticism of Culture.
