The group's goal is also to create a meeting point for Amazonians who are in São Paulo and the public who already knows the rhythm of "two for there, two for here"

It's been a while since the bulls Caprichoso e Garantido have broken the boundaries of Parintins, gaining followers in Brazil and the world. An example of this is that a group of Bumbás fans will take a little bit of the Parintins Festival to the northern part of São Paulo in the 2020 Carnival.
O Friends of the Boia group formed by people from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, will take to the streets of São Paulo a block that, instead of marching songs, will play a lot of toada. According to the organizers, Adão and Priscilla Modesto, the players will parade on February 24 (Monday). The gathering will be at Rua Viri, in Jardim São Paulo - north zone, at 2pm.
"We know that every year many artists from Parintins leave their families to spend months in São Paulo working in the sheds of the samba schools. So, with this event, besides having fun at the rhythm we love and promoting the festival, we want to honor these workers who miss the customs of their homeland," explained Adão.
New experience
For Renan Portela, one of the founders of the Friends of the Ox, the goal of the group is also to create a meeting point for Amazonians who are in Sao Paulo and the public who already know the rhythm of "two there, two here". "We also want to spread the Parintins Festival, with the São Paulo public that is in search of new experiences in the city's street Carnival", he explains.
So, whether for those who already know and want to kill a little of the nostalgia for the bulls Caprichoso and Garantido or for those who want a different experience in this Carnival, the Friends of the Ox is an option.
