Second phase of the 11th Theater Festival starts on the 24th

11th Amazonas Theater Showcase

A Theater Federation of Amazonas (Fetam) resumes the 11th Theater Festival of Amazonas in the period from April 24th to 30th, on the stage of Les Artistes Café Teatrowith 14 theater performances for children and adults. The first phase of the show took place in March, celebrating the World Day of Theatre and Circus. The children's play sessions will be at 10am and the adult ones, at 8pm, with free access.

Comedies, performances, clowns, dramas and reflection of man in society will be the keynote of this edition of the Mostra. For actress and director Ana Cláudia Motta, Mostra represents a great showcase of what is produced in the Amazon for the local community. "The people of the theater face a big problem, which is that the Amazonas people give prestige to their local artists; therefore, Mostra comes once more to strengthen the artistic relations with the audience already assiduous and with those who still don't go to the theaters", said Ana Cláudia.

Performance

The first night of the 11th Theater Festival, on April 24 (Monday), at 8 pm, will feature Abaporutationtheatrical performance staged by actor Dimas Mendonça. On stage, the actor will have chairs scattered around the space that will accommodate the audience. In four different points of the scenic space, Dimas will interpret symbolic characters, with texts that show limit situations in family, religion, politics, and art. In this space, the limits of the body are put to the test through characters that defend religious, political, and behavioral ideologies until death. And it is when everything dies that some spark of life resurfaces, making it possible again... But is it the same life? The same body? The same space? The same audience? These are Dimas' reflections based on his work.
